All the volunteer events and activities listed below are for registered Green Calgary volunteers. If you are not a registered volunteer and you are interested in any of the below opportunities, please email judi@greencalgary.org and you can volunteer with us too! WASTE AUDIT AND WASTE ASSESSMENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Multiple waste audit opportunities available. By supporting us in our waste audits you help companies with their environmental goals by sorting and categorizing waste from office buildings for a look at what can be better diverted out of the landfill.
No experience necessary, training will happen on site. Some locations require 2 days to complete the audit.
Please note: If you are unavailable for the full shift, that is okay! Please reach out to Crystal with your availability and she will accommodate you.

HELP US MOVE OUR OFFICE
Green Calgary’s office has been located in West Hillhurst for 13 years. Now it is time for a change! This month we are starting a new chapter at the Kahanoff Centre located in the downtown area. We are looking for volunteers to help us move. Activities will include moving small to medium size boxes and items. You must be able to lift at least 10 lbs.
Shifts:
Saturday November 23, 2024:
Full Day shift: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
2 Locations:
301 14 St NW #308 (Green Calgary-current location)
105 12 Ave SE (Kahanoff Centre- new location)
Half-day shifts:
10:00 am - 1:00 pm: 301 14 St NW #308 (Green Calgary current location)

COMMUNICATIONS TEAM
Internal| Admin Support
Volunteers are needed to support the communications team to market campaigns, grow social media platforms and engage with Green Calgary’s online community. Activities will include content creation such as social media posts, blog posts and more. It will also include supporting social media campaigns and initiatives by facilitating outreach activities, sharing content on your personal channels, and engaging with posted content.

Video and Audio Narration | Communication Support
We need volunteers to provide narration for upcoming Green Calgary videos and also be filmed and included in video footage. We are open to those who hold video editing or content creation who have suggestion for the compliation of video content. If you are interested in providing your skills and expertise please email louise@greencalgary.org.
When: This volunteer position is an on-going opportunity where volunteers can expect to contribute 2 - 5 hours per week depending on the initiative. For more information please contact louise@greencalgary.org
